FIFA visits CHASE at the studio in LA

FIFA stopped by my studio to film a segment that aired worldwide before the Spain–Belgium match here in LA.

In it, I share how instrumental football was in my early life, and how the lessons I learned on the field helped prepare me for everything that came after.

Belgium's loss to Spain was a tough one, but we all knew we were up against one of the tournament favorites. Regardless of the result, I'm incredibly proud of how well the Red Devils played.

(Part 2) - This is a somewhat hidden part of the backyard, and I love that the client — a clinical psychologist — recognized the potential of this cozy, walled-in nook to create a 'moment.'

Pray to the Gods of Honey // After lots of design and paint work, The Hive’s second location is finally open. I painted a total of 6 areas which include tributes to Albrecht Durer (who first drew the ‘Study of the Hands of an Apostle’ in 1508, and to Okusai, who created the woodblock print ‘The Wave’ in 1829.

The superfood cafe is located at the ground floor of AMLI, a luxury apartment complex in Marina Del Rey.

A little tribute to the Belgian surrealist Magritte’s painting ‘The Treachery of Images.’ Painted in 1929, ‘Ceci n’est pas une pipe’ translates to ‘this is not a pipe,’ causing much confusion in the viewer.  Magritte’s point was that it was not a pipe, it was a PAINTING of a pipe, and that you definitely should not light it and smoke it. What a rascal.
